INTERIOR DESIGN PROPOSAL SERVICES OUTLINE

 

I.  The Interior Decorator shall depending on project requirements provide some or all of the following services (“Services”) to the Client in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement: Communication (email/phone calls, etc.) regarding the activities below are included as part of defined “services” payable by the client.

  • Complimentary phone consultation.
  • Conceptual Design Consultation –visit includes walk through of site, preliminary room sketch, and in-depth discussion to ascertain style options, budget and time frame estimates and other project needs.
  • Design Development /Presentation – Complete measurements and take inventory. Finalize and present design options/recommendations and requirements.
  • Providing specifications of functionality for product selections such as finishes, surfaces, fabrics, window treatment, furniture, textures, color schemes, etc. as well as traveling to locations for physical review.
  • Provide layout with furnishings, color schemes, interior finishes, wall, floor, window and lighting treatments etc, as required.
  • Create and oversee a project plan to include acquiring products, referring contractors, coordinating deliveries and installations, arranging furnishings and accessories, etc.
  • Conduct periodic quality reviews.

II.  Full Interior Design, to include:

  • Meeting with the client or their Representative to Establish the Scope of the Project and Establishing the Design Direction based on the Clients Goals and Operational Objectives.
  • Concept Development to Include: Space Planning, Design Development and Color and Materials to be used on the Project. This is accomplished with the generation of a Floor Plan, Elevations, with Color and Materials Board. If required a Color Sketch or Rendering.
  • Concept Presentation to Client.
  • Revisions to Concept Based on Presentation Review by Client.
  • Concept Presentation for Final Approval.
  • Upon Approval Working and Production Drawings, to include: Specifications, Floor Plan, Elevations, Cross Sections, Reflected Ceiling Plan, Tile and Carpet Plan, Detail Sheets.
  • Release of Drawings to the Client and their General Contractor.
  • Note: G.C. to obtain all Permits and Required Approvals Prior to the Start of the Project.
  • On site Meeting with Contractor and Sub Contractors.
  • Job Review During Construction.
  • All site visits will be billed at the production rate for the time in the field.
  • All Travel costs will be billed to client at cost plus 7%, or provided by client.

Conceptual Design

  • Meeting with client to determine job requirements.
  • In depth analysis of your interior design needs and identify style.
  • Review inspiration photos with client.
  • Architectural design development with client, architect, and contractor to achieve best results.

 

Presentation – Mood Boards, Sketch, & Renderings

  • Layout of furniture, lighting, and floor – outlet locations.
  • Detailed floor plan and elevations of kitchen and bathrooms.
  • Review the reflected ceiling plan.
  • Propose ceiling designs to project architect.
  • Sketch tile, stone & wood plans.
  • Design/sketch staircase railings.

 

Purchasing Materials

  • Client purchases furnishings & materials.
  • Determine use of existing furniture for refinishing and re-upholstery.
  • Write purchase orders and process with vendors.
  • Expedite all orders
  • Coordinate crating, shipping and delivery.

 

Development

  • Design concept with color schemes, design styles, finishes and materials.
  • Finalize appliances, furniture, fixtures, paint, art, etc..
  • Client approval.
  • Develop final floor plans and elevations with contractors and architect.
  • City approval.
  • Establish installation workers to begin construction.

 

Installation

  • Visit job site to review framing, rough electrical, rough plumbing, lighting, drywall, and installation of cabinetry, fixtures, and finish materials as needed.
  • Supervise delivery and placement of items purchased by clients on their behalf.
